The Bank has a PhD Internship scheme for people who are currently studying for a PhD. Interns are placed in either the Monetary Analysis or Financial Stability areas of the Bank where they would work on a research project with members of Bank staff. The internship usually lasts 2 - 3 months and in some cases may be extended for up to 12 months.
Our recruitment period starts late in the calendar year though the timing of individual internships is flexible. The rate of pay is £85 per day with an accommodation allowance of up to £100 per week. We have now closed for 2008 intern opportunities, we will open again in November 2008 for our 2009 intern opportunities.
