The Bank of England offers a competitive salary and a flexible benefits package. The concept is simple. In addition to your annual salary you will receive a core benefits package and a flexible benefits allowance, which enables you to tailor your benefits arrangement to meet your own needs.
Reward
Salaries are reviewed annually with additional cash bonus payments awarded to good performers. We also operate a separate scheme to reward staff who identify business improvements and efficiency gains.
Core Benefits
We have selected core benefits which represent a valuable minimum standard for all staff. They are:
- 25 days' annual leave
- life assurance of x 2 annual salary
- private medical insurance
- interest-free season ticket loan
- membership of the Bank of England's Pension Fund (a non-contributory career average scheme).
Flexible Benefits
Using a flexible benefits allowance worth 7% of your salary, you are able to enhance your core benefits as you wish. Alternatively you may take the allowance as non-pensionable cash payable with your salary. Additional benefits on offer include:
- Wellbeing Options: such as private medical insurance for your partner and/or dependant children; health screening; plus a variety of health insurance options.
- Lifestyle Options: such as up to 10 days additional leave, childcare vouchers and car breakdown cover.
- Leisure Options: including WineBank; cinema tickets; and ticketmaster membership.
