There is a strong focus on work life balance and wellbeing at the Bank. Our staff have the opportunity to make use of a number of on-site facilities and flexible working options which promote a healthy balance between their work and home commitments.
A key benefit to many of our staff is our flexible working arrangements. We offer a number of options, including flexible working hours, part-time working, working from home and other non-traditional ways of working.
We offer a programme of working lives seminars which provide practical advice to help staff to manage their lives more effectively, both at home and at work. Recent topics include 'how to get on the property ladder', 'caring for vulnerable parents' and 'disability awareness'.
We also attach great importance to the wellbeing of our staff. We have a health centre at our Head Office which incoporates a Medical Unit, Treatment Room and Dental Facility. We have a fully equiped Gym on-site, as well as 2 exercise studios offering a variety of classes during the day, such as aerobics, spin and pilates.
Our catering facility at Head Office offers a sociable lunch venue for staff. To promote our investment in wellbeing, we include a 'BankBalance' menu of healthy food options in our restaurant. Our coffee bar and deli provides informal surroundings to conduct meetings during the working day.
We also have a sports club at Roehampton located in 32 acres of sports fields and woodland, offering members the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of sporting and social activities. Our annual Governor's Day event for staff and their families is held at our Sports club.
